Sharon Quimbay Nolasco (she/they) is a queer, Colombian-American immigrant. Sharon is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Registered Dance Movement Therapist, and Yoga Instructor. She obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Dance/Movement Therapy from Lesley University. They have spent the past 4 years working at a bilingual, bicultural agency that serves LatinX adults with substance abuse and mental health disorders. In their clinical work, Sharon engages in person-centered, trauma focused work from an social equity lens, and strives to support clients in having both an embodied and cognitive experience of their own emotions. Sharon is a performer, collaborator, consultant, and supporter of community-led initiatives and artistic projects that create change through storytelling.
