Introduction

Hello Cyclebreakers, I am Shawnnell, founder of Choosing Empowerment, Your Barrier Breaking, High Accountability, No Bullshitting Practice. Choosing Empowerment seeks to address the critical issue of limited access to culturally competent and bias-free mental health services for marginalized and disenfranchised communities. Our goal is to dismantle the barriers that prevent these communities from seeking and receiving the mental wellness support they need. Our primary focus is to provide mental health and wellness services to groups such as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, foster/adoptive families, disabled people, Native Spanish Speakers, and formerly incarcerated individuals, among others who experience marginalization and disenfranchisement. . Our approach is rooted in the power of choice and fostering healthy relationships, with a commitment to being honest, authentic, informative, straightforward, compassionate, non-judgmental, and understanding. Choosing Empowerment LLC is also a premier training ground for future mental health professionals which has yielded a dynamic diverse No BS team. We understand that breaking cycles is difficult, and we are here to provide support and encouragement throughout your wellness journey.
