Shayla is a warm, direct counselor who can assist you in finding your own path. Shayla specializes in self-care for caretakers, spiritual and existential anxiety, life-stage changes, trauma, and attachment difficulties. While holding a Christian worldview, she is trained in secular counseling, and only incorporates this worldview if it is expressly requested by her clients. Counseling can help clients to use their own experiences and values to reach important insights, fostering deep and critical thinking about their beliefs and revealing fresh viewpoints. Shayla's expertise spans person-centered therapy, Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), Gestalt therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), existential therapy, and play therapy, providing a holistic counseling approach. She has worked in the field of psychology since 2015 and began offering counseling services to adults, teenagers, and children over the age of eight starting in 2018.
