Life's challenges can cause emotional distress and affect one’s happiness and/or capability to function. Are you struggling with life's challenges? If so, you are not alone. My hope is to assist you in returning to the joys of life by employing a personalized approach to each counseling session. I treat young adults and adults experiencing most life circumstances, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, stress management, boundary and family of origin issues, with a specialty in the areas of infertility, miscarriage, pregnancy loss, postpartum depression/anxiety, and new parent transitions. The aspiration to become a Counselor originated during my infertility struggle. Suffering from multiple miscarriages and failed infertility treatments, my husband and I endured many complications, massive disappointments and heartache as each year passed trying to conceive our daughter as well as a second child. My familiarity with the interworking of the infertility world provides an extraordinary perspective of the challenges that individuals and couples encounter on this journey. Additionally, overcoming the emotional rollercoaster of infertility equipped me with an empathic ability to help others navigate their own emotional rollercoasters in life. I am a native Texan, having lived in the Dallas area most of my life. My collegiate years were spent in Austin, Texas obtaining my Bachelor in Speech degree with a minor in Business Foundations from The University of Texas at Austin. After the birth of my daughter, I realized my desire to become a Licensed Professional Counselor to help others experiencing life’s struggles. I obtained my Master’s in Counseling degree from Dallas Baptist University in May 2018. I have a diverse counseling background having counseled in both a private and hospital setting. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching college football, creating custom cookies, and serving as a teacher’s aide in Sunday school classes at church. My husband and I have been married 15 years and have a daughter. At the end of the day, my hope is that my warm, authentic, and empathic nature create a space where clients feel safe to explore their path to true peace and healing.
