Introduction

You are exhausted and completely tired of holding it all in. You’re OVER IT. You no longer can tolerate someone side eyeing you when your emotions feel LARGE. You’re worn out by the flashbacks, tired of getting triggered so easily, tired of feeling like smoking weed or having a drink is the only way to numb yourself from painful thoughts, memories and feelings. Sometimes you can’t sleep and sometimes you sleep too much. You are high functioning, in spite of it and every day you go to work and wear a mask. You’ve numbed yourself and stuck with the routine, but you are tired of being the strong friend, the one that everyone comes to for answers and you feel like you have no one to turn to for answers of your own. You’re done with doom scrolling on social media, tired of waiting for the other shoe to drop, your soul is crying out for safe and peaceful space. You deserve that space. For your thoughts for your memories, for your emotions. You no longer have to feel bound by the guilt you feel from your parents expectations. You no longer have to suffer from thinking you cannot please anyone. I get it and I'm here to support you through it. I am a caring and compassionate therapist with experience working with Black and Brown youth, young adults, middle aged adults and seniors. I am passionate about social justice and work to continue building my own cultural responsiveness. I consider my practice trauma informed in order to elevate the growth, resiliency, and healing of my clients. I treat clients who are seeking to manage their suffering, and may struggle with depression, anxiety, stress management, searching for identity and meaning, relationship issues, low self-concept, sexual/physical and emotional abuse, neglect, traumatic events and racial stress/trauma. I offer a comprehensive assessment and a multifaceted approach (DBT, ACT, Expressive Art), exploring childhood and developing a plan for building skills and goals. My passion and purpose is to support and uplift my client's mental health and experience of therapy.
