As a Collierville, Tn native, Sherri moved to Nashville in 2008 to pursue a bachelor’s degree in social work from Tennessee State University. While in school, Sherri developed a curiosity for the mental health obstacles that a child may face after being removed from a home. As a result, Sherri changed her major to psychology, and went on to obtain her master’s degree from Lipscomb University in clinical mental health counseling. Sherri is the founder of Dream Chasers of Tennessee which is a nonprofit scholarship organization committed to promoting positive change revolving around communities in Tennessee. Day to day, Sherri works as a therapist for a regional school district providing non profit services to students who would otherwise not be able to afford therapy services. Sherri loves doing trauma work and providing education about ACES. Sherri’s therapeutic approach is Adlerian, Reality, and EMDR therapy.
