Introduction

SoCo Counseling, LLC is here to serve the needs of the greater South County region in Anne Arundel County (near Annapolis), while providing virtual therapy for anyone in the state of Maryland. Founded by Amanda Fincher, our goal is to meet the mental health needs of our community locally so families don't have to travel far to get the help they need. We are able to expand our reach throughout the state via virtual telehealth appointments. Our Mental Health Clinic is made up of highly experienced mental health professionals who place value in the relationship formed in therapy as monumental in eliciting positive and productive change. We take great pride in providing our community with high-quality, patient-centric care. Amanda Fincher is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor based in Southern Anne Arundel County with over 23 years of experience as a psychotherapist and school counselor. She specializes in working with teen, college-age, and adult women, offering compassionate and expert support tailored to their unique challenges. Amanda Fincher has a deep commitment to supporting mothers through every stage of their journey. She specializes in perinatal mental health, helping women navigate all aspects of motherhood, including the transition after having a new baby, parenting, and managing postpartum depression and anxiety. She understands the emotional and mental health challenges that can arise during these life transitions and is dedicated to helping mothers find balance, resilience, and confidence. In addition to her work with mothers, Amanda has a special interest in supporting women with ADHD, helping them develop tools and strategies for success. She also provides career coaching for women navigating significant professional transitions, empowering them to achieve their goals and find fulfillment. Amanda’s approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused, offering a safe space where clients feel heard and supported. Whether guiding mothers through the challenges of parenting teens or helping women address mental health and career-related concerns, Amanda is committed to helping her clients build meaningful and positive change in their lives. Ashley Oursler is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families. Her primary goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to share their stories and experiences. Ashley believes that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is essential for fostering positive change and enhancing overall well-being. Ashley Ousler began her career as a Crisis Counselor in Calvert County, working with people of all ages navigating trauma and crisis. She later focused on supporting first responders, helping them manage PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, OCPD, stress, and substance use challenges. Her passion lies in helping individuals who have experienced trauma and are seeking a path toward healing and growth. Trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, a specialized form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy designed to reduce PTSD symptoms, Ashley uses a strengths-based approach to address the thoughts and beliefs that can keep clients feeling “stuck.” As a mother of three active children, she also understands the everyday pressures of balancing life and incorporates stress-reduction strategies into her work to promote overall well-being. Ashley is committed to guiding her clients through every step of their journey toward mental health and emotional resilience.
