Therapy is more than a prescriptive and clinical process. It is a wholehearted commitment to growth and healing that opens the door to self-compassion and emotional fortitude. It requires us to embrace vulnerability and imperfection, to sit with and process our challenging feelings, and to explore our shadow selves. By tapping into our innate intuition and higher self, we develop the capacity for unconditional self-love and authenticity. As a result of my own experiences of trauma, healing and awakening, I developed a fervent passion for partnering with others in their healing and mental health journey. I discovered the power of Post-Traumatic Growth through personal experience. Mindful Indigo was created to empower others in seeking growth through healing. I graduated with my Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2018. I have post-graduate experience as a school social worker and trauma therapist in private practice. I also supervise MSW students completing their internships at universities within Colorado, and teach social work courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. I utilize an empowering integrative approach and assess client needs holistically by considering stressors, thought patterns and interpersonal conflicts in combination with past trauma and development. I encourage clients to engage in self-exploration, nurture their inner child, practice mindfulness, and improve mind-body-soul connection. My goal is to support clients in accepting both their light and shadow, to achieve wholeness, trauma integration and self-actualization. My areas of specialty include treating clients with trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety, codependency, and relationship issues. Additionally, I work with clients struggling with depression, substance use, mood and personality disorders, grief and loss, attachment disorders, family conflict, life transitions and women’s issues. I’m trained in trauma treatment as a Certified Trauma Professional and have extensive experience working with teens and adults. Sharing our deepest struggles can feel vulnerable and uncomfortable. It's also where our best work is accomplished. I encourage you to lean into that discomfort and explore your shadow. I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey of post-traumatic growth and transformation, offering you unconditional empathy and effective coping strategies.
