During those times in life when we feel frustrated, tired, down, anxious, doubting ourselves and in need of someone that listens to our problems, a helping hand could make a big difference. My philosophy of counseling is based on the principles of increasing awareness of our thoughts and behaviors, being able to modify patterns that are not working for us, achieving balance in life, promoting respect between the individuals, and establishing strong connections with other human beings. My goal is for clients to obtain skills that will be helpful in managing emotions and behaviors. Throughout my career I have acquired extensive and invaluable experience from working with clients ages two to one hundred. I am trained in using different evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR applied towards diagnoses of adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and PTSD. Taking that first step towards healing may be intimidating but I am available to ease the process. Being able to fully listen, understand and see my clients for who they are is my ultimate goal.
