Hola! I am Lily, so-cal Latina , all things wellness coach, mental health counselor, yoga teacher and ovarian cancer survivor. I am a licensed therapist in the state of Arizona and Iowa and have an extensive background working with youth and in latino family development. Early in my career, my work focused on strengthening Latino communities through self-exploration, skill-building and empowerment to advocate for personal needs, crisis intervention, and mental health prevention work. I graduated from Santa Clara University in California with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Latino Counseling. Shortly thereafter I completed my practicum training and post-graduation hours at the Youth Service Bureaus of the YMCA in South San Francisco & San Mateo in California and Tanager Place in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In my previous roles, I practiced in community mental health settings, through outpatient services and school-based mental health in elementary, middle, and high schools. I have worked with unaccompanied minors, immigrant families, couples, individuals, and parents. Amongst various professional interests, I have pursued training in suicide prevention, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), and trauma-informed yoga (RYT-200). I have a background in alternative dispute resolution, group facilitation, immigration issues, and health and wellness coaching. Today, I specialize in women’s wellness, chronic illness, young adult mental health and first generation young professional wellness. I am also available for speaking engagements about the world of health and wellness and going from surviving to thriving in your life.
