I hold a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space for clients to comfortably express themselves. I use a client-centered approach, tailoring sessions to meet individual needs. I practice active listening, integrating multiple perspectives, and using evidence-based interventions to help clients heal past trauma and establish a meaningful, balanced life. A Little About Me: I earned my Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from Boston University, traveled extensively as a professional harpist, and eventually earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. I enjoy counseling adults at every stage of life, and my specialty is counseling adults who are neurodivergent, their families, and their caregivers. I provide a culturally sensitive, strength-based, trauma-informed-care approach to mental health and counseling. I celebrate diversity and respectfully acknowlege that clients are the experts of their lives. Here are some of the ways I support clients: - Explore personalized self-care as a coping skill and a path to healing - Consider your life journey and discover who you are now - Improve communication skills and interpersonal effectiveness - Recognize empowerment through advocating for yourself and people you care about - Intentionally set sustainable healthy boundaries and maintain them - Introduce and practice DBT skills, including mindfulness and radical acceptance Finding ways to relax and reframe your thoughts can help you get unstuck from negative cognitive loops. Therapeutic harp music may support clients in letting go of anxiety and embracing tranquility. Clients may find peace of mind through listening to live therapeutic harp music or by exploring gentle, resonant sounds on a musical instrument of their choice. I accept most major insurances through my supervisor, Simon Connor and his practice: Simon Connor and Associates. I also accept private pay clients.
