I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker committed to providing high-quality mental health care to individuals living in Florida and New York. I have almost a decade of experience working with adults who have experienced some form of grief, trauma, anxiety or depression. I hold a BA in Psychology from St. Joseph’s University in Patchogue, New York and a Masters in Social Work from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. Prior to opening my own private practice, I worked as a medical social worker for over six years for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center on Long Island, New York. During that time, I also served as the facility’s VA LGBTQIA Veteran Care Coordinator. My approach to treatment is person-centered, considering each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals. I believe in empowering clients, fostering a collaborative, therapeutic relationship, and providing education to support their journey toward mental well-being. As a clinician, I approach therapy from humanistic and behavioral perspectives, while utilizing components of psychodynamics to explore how early life events may have contributed to current behavioral patterns. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe space for you to freely and openly express your thoughts and feelings about life's complexities. The hardest part is reaching out and asking for help. You have already taken a huge step forward just by reading this. I encourage you to contact me and we can figure out the rest together. I am EMDRIA-trained in EMDR and licensed to practice in Florida and New York. I am currently accepting new clients for online therapy.
