For over a decade, I've worked as a life coach and developmental guide, helping people reach their goals, and make positive changes in their behavior, feelings, and relationships. I've also been a sort of sherpa, just helping people carry their stuff up the mountain. (Sometimes, all we need is company.) Often, we get stuck because we have healing work to do that we're not aware of or don't know how to approach. I discovered a gift for helping others hear and understand the parts of themselves that need attention and healing. Consequently, I am getting licensed to work more fully, not just on development, but on healing. I integrate a wide variety of approaches, especially somatic work, so that we're attending to our whole selves. I work especially with developmental trauma and attachment wounding, and the consequences of that - anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and the many ways we find ourselves stuck when we try to change our lives and relationships. Although you may feel something is broken and isn't working, everything has its reason, trying to meet a legitimate need. When someone really listens to us and feels us, without the usual layers of expectation or judgement, we can hear and feel what those needs are. Then we can discover our capacity for healing and change, and live more authentic lives.
