Introduction

I am licensed to practice in both Louisiana and Texas. My practice experience includes various settings from inpatient hospital setting, psychiatric residential treatment facility, school setting and private practice. I have experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and couples, who are going through various life transitions. When you choose me as your counselor, my approach is to merge my clinical training with my own life experience for support that makes a difference. My counseling style is more of an eclectic approach where I combine techniques from Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Therapy. I have advanced training in Step-Family dynamics through the Stepfamily Foundation. In addition, I have advanced training through Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) to provide Custody Evaluations, Parent Coordination as well as Family Mediation. No one gets married thinking they will divorce but sometimes it can't be helped. It takes time and work to learn how to co-parent after divorce. I get it and I can help with that. If you are looking for someone to provide a warm, caring, respectful, safe and supportive environment that will facilitate overall growth and change please consider outreaching to me. In addition to my advanced training, I have lived experience with divorce, as well as being a single mom and step-mom. I will provide a safe space where your fears can be faced, your tears can be shed and your heart can be healed. I am accepting new clients and offer early evenings and weekend appointments. Sessions can be in office (Cenla area) or telehealth as needed.
