Stephanie earned her master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2008. She also completed the Playtalk Play Therapy Certificate Program through KC Play Institute, and is a Registered Play Therapist. Utilizing play therapy techniques, along with various specialized trainings like Child Parent Psychotherapy, Parent Child Interactive Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Stephanie specializes in working with young children and their families. These therapies help them overcome adversity and strengthen attachment within the family. Stephanie believes that play is the language of children, and through play, children are able to express, process, and overcome challenges in their world. Stephanie also works with individuals of all ages, including adults. Her background includes (but has not been limited to) working with those experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, OCD, grief/loss, family changes, domestic violence, and relationship/attachment issues.
