Building on over 20 years of nonprofit social work with older adults and families, I am committed to a clinical practice that focuses on serving this unique population. I believe that growing older is a process of continual growth and that seeking therapy as a part of that growth is good for your health, your relationships, and your life. In my work with family caregivers, I provide critical emotional and practical support to help you to better cope with the challenges of supporting an older family member while setting good boundaries and practicing essential self care. As a social worker, I am trained to meet the client where he/she is, letting go of any preconceived ideas of who sits with me on a particular day. I strive to create a safe & supportive space for each client to share his/her story. My work is grounded in a holistic, client-centered approach with the client's goals as central to the therapeutic process. I admire each person who is thinking about embarking on the very personal journey of better understanding the complexities of one’s mental health and taking the time to heal and grow. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to schedule a complimentary 30-minute phone consultation to determine if I am a good fit for you. https://www.atlantaeldercarecounselor.com/
