As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I work with individuals to obtain mental and physical health wellness and provide supportive services. Currently offering services via Telehealth, I also have experience working in a variety of clinical and community settings. I am interested in working with individuals, couples, and families with a range of needs, including everyday life stressors and challenges, as well as severe mental illness and/or chemical dependency. I am also interested in the effects of trauma and stress on an individual’s mental health, behavior and resiliency. My goal is to promote mind-body connections, individual healing, and the development of healthy families. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University in 2015, and my Master of Social Work, with a specialization in Behavioral Mental Health, from University of Hawai'i at Mānoa in 2020, where I graduated with honors. With a background in Community Based Case Management, I specialize in evidence-based practices including a strength-based perspective, task-centered treatment, person-centered therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, and cognitive and behavioral therapies. I utilize mindfulness to promote a mind-body connection, motivational interviewing to improve change behavior, and work to enhance client’s positive coping skills to improve their functioning in different environments. I believe that we are not defined by our past and that we can make lasting changes to improve our futures, while working towards our goals of self-improvement.
