I am an active, invested, caring therapist who wants to understand, support and encourage you. I believe in using evidence-based therapies that are specific to your present concerns and goals. Altogether, I focus on building a strong working therapeutic relationship, with your needs, concerns, and growth at the forefront. I strive to create a safe, confidential environment in which you are not alone in facing your challenges, allowing yourself to grow, learn, and approach your life in a way that feels more whole. Taking steps to be more open to growth is not a weakness, it is a learned strength. I work with adults who are facing challenges in life. I seeks to create an supportive environment to treat depression and anxiety, including stress and coping, difficulty in relationships, self-esteem and identity concerns. I specialize in grief and loss, women’s issues, relationship concerns, family of origin issues, as well as navigating marital distress and divorce. I enjoy the process of growing and challenging myself as a psychotherapist. I was previously the Clinical Director at the Samaritan Center for Counseling and Wellness in Athens, GA. I maintained private practices in Georgia and Virginia. I have also taught undergraduate and graduate students as an Adjunct Professor at Argosy University, the University of South Alabama, and George Mason University. I have been working with clients for over 20 years, and have been licensed as a Psychologist since 2007 in Georgia, Alabama, and Virginia. I am currently a Licensed Psychologist in Georgia (PSY003118). I received my BA in Psychology and Hispanic & Italian Studies from Johns Hopkins University, and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from American University in Washington DC.
