When we have something traumatic happen in our lives, we do not fully experience it because our bodies are primarily focusing on just enduring and surviving the trauma. Afterwards, we can find ourselves feeling elevated, experiencing repetitive negative thoughts, and just not feeling like ourselves. Whether you’ve experienced trauma, you're tired of revisiting painful memories over and over, or you've found that traditional talk therapy isn't bringing the same progress you once saw, I’m here to help by using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Whether you’ve experienced trauma, you're tired of revisiting painful memories over and over, or you've found that traditional talk therapy isn't bringing the same progress you once saw, I’m here to help by using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am an EMDR Certified Therapist through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and am licensed in Michigan and Illinois. I primarily focus on offering adjunct EMDR therapy on a weekly or biweekly basis. I also offer EMDR Intensives. I also incorporate principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) in EMDR sessions. I am excited to offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) through Michigan Advanced Psychiatry, in partnership with KindMind Counseling. (Michigan-based clients only) I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and received my Master of Social Work from Wayne State University. I also have a background as a registered yoga instructor (RYT-200). I use a client-centered and strengths-based perspective to help facilitate the process of self-discovery. I strive to foster a brave, non-judgmental place that solely focuses on your goals and needs. To begin your EMDR or KAP journey, please contact me or visit my website to request a free 30 minute consultation video call! In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, strength training, arts and crafts, and hanging out with my black cat named Spooky Boo.
