Let me help you find your voice. If you’re exploring changes in your life, like how the hell to implement boundaries, or trying to figure out how to heal from childhood wounds & traumatic experiences, let’s schedule a consultation. Areas of special interest for me include supporting those with disordered eating habits, past trauma, and those who are looking for insight into how to achieve overall wellness in all areas of their life. I am sex positive, and poly/kink affirming, and can hold space with the LGBTQIA+ community. Within my work I will meet you where you are- no two people are alike and neither is my approach. I tailor our work to meet the goals you identify, not my own agenda. I enjoy using EMDR, DBT skills, parts work/internal family systems (IFS), and inner child work. In other words, it’s deep work. I am not one to sit back and ask you how things make you feel. We will explore childhood messaging, and how this comes up in everyday life, while also learning how to change your habits, or change the ways you see the world to achieve your goals. You may find that I am a very laid back and casual therapist who approaches the therapeutic relationship without judgment, with empathy, and with a gentle nudge to get you back on track. When life gets unbalanced, I’d be honored to help you find that equilibrium again. Outside of my role as a therapist, I am an artist who always seems to have some project going on at my coffee table. I enjoy reading, hiking/camping in the mountains of Western NC, gardening, and binge watching the same 4 shows on repeat. I am an animal lover and I have 3 dogs and 1 cat. I offer teletherapy for the state of North Carolina. I achieved my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have an expansive background in the human services field working within adolescent day treatment programs, substance use counseling, geriatric psych, and general outpatient services. I work within folx with all types of stressors, including anxiety, and depression.
