Introduction

As a black man providing a space for people of color to express themselves has always been important to me. Dealing with my own mental health issues at a young age I was aware that there was not many counselors available that looked like me. Therefore, I embarked on a journey to provide my own space for people of color to express their thoughts and ideas in a safe space. After obtaining my master’s degree in counseling I have begun to open this space fully to all genders, sexual orientations, and cultural backgrounds. During the first session we take the time to explore what therapeutic treatment is the most appropriate to make the progress you want to see. I often use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to begin processing the thoughts and behaviors that brought you to therapy then utilize techniques from multiple theories such as IFS, and Gestalt, to ensure treatment is balanced. If you are thinking about making a change in your life I encourage you to reach out for a free consultation to further discuss how these thoughts can be developed into life changes!
