Introduction

I am a person in long-term recovery providing psychotherapy to people with substance use disorders. I am familiar with many treatment centers and recovery fellowships in the Bay Area. I provide a nonjudgmental, direct approach and a sense of humor to address addiction and its root causes. If recovery through abstinence is your goal, I am able to tailor a relapse prevention plan to your specific needs. Although I specialize in working with people with substance use disorders, I've also worked with clients who struggled with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, grief, and loss. My HIPAA compliant telehealth platform allows me to work with anyone in California. In addition to being a therapist, I have participated in therapy as a client. I'm acutely aware of the courage it takes to reach out for help. My time in therapy was instrumental to my recovery and overall mental health. I wish the same for you. "To people who do not have the allergy, there is no clear way to explain the unmanageability that goes with addiction. A drunk or an addict picks up a shot or a dose because, same as everyone, they just want to feel a little different. But it never stops there. I could be drunk tomorrow or shooting dope even as you read this, but the chances of that are low as long as I make a daily decision to embrace who I really am and then be satisfied with that at the end of the day.” - David Carr, The Night of the Gun Click "Request Appointment" to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to see if we're a good fit.
