Introduction

Stormi is a Resident in Counseling pursuing licensure under the supervision of Dr. Jordan Luck. She currently provides online therapy for both individuals and couples. During her practice, Stormi has counseled clients ages 16 and older who have struggled with a variety of issues - including anxiety, ADHD, interpersonal relationship difficulties, depression, trauma, self-esteem, stress, life transitions, and more. She also has experience working with active-duty military, veterans, and their families navigating the unique difficulties of their lifestyle. Her personal familiarity with military life as a military spouse and former civil service employee has aided her in helping these individuals Stormi tailors her therapeutic approach to each client by utilizing a person-centered perspective combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, etc. This approach aims to help individuals through processing stressors and past experiences, validating feelings, accessing their confidence, and providing tools needed to manage the challenges of their lives. Stormi strongly believes that therapy should be a collaborative, non-judgmental, and supportive environment. She aims to help others feel safe, heard, and hopeful about achieving their therapy goals to become the desired, best version of themselves. Stormi received a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She also received her B.A. in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University and an A.A. in Social Sciences from Bossier Parish Community College. As a military spouse, she has lived in 5 different states over the last 8 years and has acquired different hobbies, interests, and skills to manage the adjustments that come with military life. In her free time, Stormi can typically be found rock climbing, skiing, hiking, spending time with friends and family, playing video games, or shooting basketball hoops in her office to recharge her batteries.
