Introduction

Welcome! I am Susan Lowe, a licensed psychotherapist and Perinatal Mental Health specialist. I provide women-centered psychotherapy designed to help you thrive. My practice is rooted in providing a safe, compassionate space where you can navigate emotional hurdles, whether related to life transitions, mental health struggles, or the unique demands of motherhood. How Can I Help You? You may be navigating a variety of emotional challenges—whether it is stress from major life transitions, anxiety, depression, or the weight of overwhelm. Life is full of complexities, and I am here to help you find balance and clarity no matter where you are on your journey. I support with women of all backgrounds who seek support in managing these emotional hurdles, empowering them to feel more like themselves and to thrive. For mamas, I also specialize in supporting you through the unique challenges of parenthood. Whether you are a new mom adjusting to life after birth, healing from pregnancy loss, or processing the emotional impact of birth trauma, I offer a compassionate space to guide you through this significant transition. Parenthood can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to do it alone—we’ll work together to help you reconnect with yourself and navigate motherhood with confidence. My Approach I use an integrative approach to therapy that combines evidence-based methods to support your unique journey. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you manage stress and anxious thoughts with practical, solution-focused tools. With Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), you'll learn techniques like deep breathing and meditation to stay calm and present, even during challenging moments. My approach is also trauma-informed, ensuring that any life changes, birth trauma, or loss you’ve experienced are addressed with care and compassion. I emphasize strength-based therapy, helping you build on your inner resilience and resources, and offer culturally sensitive care, recognizing and respecting the diverse backgrounds and experiences you bring into therapy. Why Work with Me? I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health, I provide culturally sensitive care that empowers women, particularly women of color, who often face additional stressors. Whether you are navigating parenthood, loss, or simply a challenging phase in life, I’m committed to helping you regain your emotional balance and feel confident in your journey. Accessible Therapy I accept Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Blue Shield of California, and Cigna, and provide superbills for out-of-network clients. Whether you're looking for virtual therapy or in-person sessions, I’m here to help you access the care you need. Take the First Step Toward Healing You do not have to navigate this alone.
