Introduction

Hi, I’m Susan. I know that life’s challenges can be overwhelming, especially when you’re juggling multiple roles and expectations. As a licensed psychotherapist and Perinatal Mental Health specialist, I’m here to provide a space where you can come as you are—where you’ll feel seen, heard, and respected. This is your place to explore, heal, and reconnect with yourself. For the Woman Who Is Facing Life’s Complexities Life can be a whirlwind of responsibilities, expectations, and emotions, leaving you feeling stretched thin. You might be experiencing stress, anxiety, or moments of feeling “lost” under the weight of it all. Therapy with me is designed to help you step out of survival mode and back into feeling like yourself. Together, we’ll work on finding that balance, helping you make sense of life’s demands and feel grounded and resilient, no matter what comes your way. For Mothers Who Feel the Weight of Parenthood If you’re a mother—or soon to be—you may find yourself questioning, struggling, or feeling isolated in ways you never expected. Whether you’re navigating the postpartum period, recovering from pregnancy loss, or healing from birth trauma, I’m here to help you find peace, confidence, and joy in your journey through motherhood. Motherhood doesn’t mean losing yourself. We’ll work together to help you reclaim your sense of self while embracing this new chapter. My Approach: Therapy That Feels Like Coming Home In our sessions, you’ll find a blend of techniques that honor who you are and where you’re at. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for practical, everyday tools to manage stress and anxiety, while Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) offers ways to feel calm and present, even on difficult days. My approach is trauma-informed and strength-based, giving you a safe space to explore past experiences while focusing on the resilience within you. Therapy with me also respects your culture, background, and values—you bring all of who you are, and all of it is welcomed here. Why Work with Me? I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health, dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care that centers your unique experience as a woman. I’m especially committed to creating a space for women of color, who often face additional pressures and expectations. Here, you’ll feel supported in ways that resonate deeply with who you are and what you need. Accessible, Supportive Therapy I accept Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Blue Shield of California, Cigna, and United Healthcare, and I provide superbills for out-of-network clients. Therapy is available both virtually and in person so you can access the support you need, however it works best for you. This is your time to take care of you. Let’s start with a free 15-minute consultation to explore how I can support you on your journey. Reach out today, and let’s take the first step to Susan Lowe, LMFT, PMH-C
