Sometimes what we need most is to be seen, heard, and appreciated just as we are. Through my own personal counseling and my professional training, I’ve witnessed the power of healing through connection with another and strive to bring this to my work as a therapist. When we are able to be vulnerable with another person, to be truly seen and heard it can be liberating. I believe that with a strong therapeutic relationship with an emphasis on trust and safety, therapy can create the conditions for this healing. I am a certified EMDR therapist, trained in Level 1 of IFS and am passionate about supporting people through the process of healing from past events that can keep us stuck. I work from a person-centered, attachment, and strengths-based approach and strive to be collaborative to build on your inner wisdom and resilience. I integrate therapeutic techniques from feminist-empowerment therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and harm reduction approaches. Above all, my approach is relational and trauma-informed. I enjoy working with a variety of concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, attachment wounds, emerging adulthood, and substance use.
