I earned a Masters’ Degree in Human Relations and a Bachelor's’ degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology-Criminology, both from the University of Oklahoma. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (80636) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (12835) with 12 years of experience working with adults and adolescents from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds who may be struggling with life transitions, addiction, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. My past work experience includes working in acute inpatient hospitals, residential, and outpatient environments. In addition to my formal education, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is an empirically supported treatment modality for people struggling with trauma. My competency in clinical practice is a result of professional education and training along with a steadfast desire to help others recognize their resilience.
