My approach to mental health counseling is compassionate and client centered using evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I have been practicing yoga and mindfulness meditation since 2005 and completed my Masters in Counseling at St Edwards University in 2014. I am a certified Positive Discipline Teacher/Parent trainer, a mindfulness instructor trained at Austin Mindfulness Center, and a nationally certified counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). I understand that the therapeutic relationship is an important part of the healing journey and aim to provide a safe haven for my clients to discover their own greatness. With practice, you can navigate the ups and downs of life with more ease, acceptance, and inner peace. You have the ability within yourself to shift your patterns, but sometimes it helps to have a counselor to hold space for that process.
