I began my career as an engineer in the business world and very quickly realized I was meant to pursue a career in human services. After earning my PhD in psychology, I began as an applied researcher. When I sought my own therapy in my 40s, I not only learned about Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) therapy but realized how much I wanted to use it to help other people as it changed my life so profoundly. I have been in practice since 2005 and truly enjoy working in partnership with my clients. I am married with two grown children, and I hope that my diverse and sometimes difficult life experiences help my clients feel that I both understand them and deeply empathize with them. I view therapy as an opportunity to walk a path of self-compassion and movement towards our individualized values together.
