The expectation often is that becoming a mother is the most joyous moment of a woman’s life, but on the inside motherhood can feel isolating and crazy. These inner thoughts can be difficult to manage alone. Sharing with others is risky – letting go of appearances – or fear of what others will think – or how they might react – all add to the isolation new parents often feel. During pregnancy and the baby’s first year, anxiety can run high with a thousand “what-if” worries. Handling worries and the new identity that comes with parenthood can be overwhelming when also facing sleep deprivation. I help clients become the parent they want to be through creating safe space to explore their thoughts and feelings. I help my clients by walking through this life transition with them, so they know they are not alone. I help my client understand that there are many factors (biology, genetics, etc.) that impact how they are feeling. If you are looking for someone to travel with you on your journey into parenthood, call me! I offer free consults via phone in order to answer any questions you may have, and to make sure I can provide the unique support you deserve. I love talking to new parents and helping them feel like themselves again. I look forward to hearing from you!
