Introduction

Tarissa Klander is a Resident Licensed Master Social Worker, who is being supervised by Nicole Stark LCSW-S, with 5 years of experience. She specializes in assisting individuals struggling with abuse, addiction, family conflict, mental health, sexual identity, and grief, among other issues. Before becoming a counselor, Tarissa worked in a variety of settings including schools and non-profits. She is a daughter, partner, animal lover, fur momma, bonus mom, and ally. She loves doing yard work, spending time with her family and pets, and watching a good documentary as self-care. Tarissa received her Master’s in Social Work from Tarleton State University. Her favorite approaches in the counselor-client dynamic are person-centered therapy, strength-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Tarissa understands that when a person seeks counseling services they open up the most vulnerable parts of themselves. With a broad range of personal and professional experience, Tarissa works diligently to be an empathetic and nonjudgmental sense of support. Reach out to her today!
