Introduction

My name is Tashayla Smith, and I am a faith-based clinician. With over five years of experience in the field of Social Work, I am dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate through life's challenges and bring about the change they want in their lives. I earned my Master's in Social Work (MSW) from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and am a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI). My journey into therapy began with a passion to understand human emotion and behavior. This passion has evolved into a dedication to partner with those looking to navigate through the growing pains of change. I believe in a collaborative and holistic approach to therapy, where clients are empowered to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe and nonjudgemental space. As a faith-based therapist, I pair a variety of treatment modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and more with biblical principles to guide my clients through a process of self-discovery. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual or family I work with. My aim is to foster self-awareness, positive change, guiding clients towards a greater emotional well-being, and fulfillment in their lives. I would be honored to utilize my professional and personal skills to support you on this transformative journey. Growth begins when you decide to do what it takes to see the change you want to see. Let's be transformed together.
