Introduction

As individuals, we can struggle with relationships, and in turn, that can cause significant distress. Within relationship distress, many people struggle with power dynamics in their relationships with family, friends, partners, employers, and others, and those struggles can stop people from reaching their full potential. My goal is to help people learn about their authentic selves and examine the role of empathy in their lives to strengthen their relationships. I believe that is key to every person achieving their fullest potential. I am a dedicated therapist specializing in navigating power dynamics within relationships, a common yet challenging issue faced by many individuals. With a profound understanding of how these dynamics—whether with family, friends, partners, employers, or others—can impede personal growth and fulfillment, I am committed to guiding clients toward a deeper understanding of their authentic selves. Central to my approach is the exploration of empathy and its pivotal role in fostering healthy, balanced relationships. By helping clients uncover and embrace their true selves, I strive to empower them to strengthen their connections with others and overcome obstacles that may be holding them back from reaching their full potential. Through a compassionate and insightful therapeutic process, I aim to equip individuals with the tools and understanding necessary to transform their relationships and, ultimately, achieve their highest aspirations. As your therapist, I specialize in navigating relationship dynamics and power dynamics within relationships. Drawing from attachment theory, CBT, REBT, psychodynamic theory, and Gottman method. I recognize that these dynamics are often rooted in early attachment experiences and can significantly influence current interpersonal interactions. I’ve seen how impactful it is when an individual has a profound understanding of how these dynamics impact them —whether with family, friends, partners, employers, or others. I am committed to guiding you toward a deeper understanding of your authentic self and more self-regulated self. I aim to help you uncover and embrace your true self by empowering you to strengthen your connections with others. Through a compassionate and insightful therapeutic process, I strive to equip you with the tools and understanding necessary to transform your relationships and, ultimately, achieve your highest aspirations. My personal philosophy aligns closely with my treatment philosophy. Driven by humanistic theory, I view self-actualization as developing authenticity and empathy to contribute meaningfully to the larger community. This belief shapes my approach to therapy, where fostering personal authenticity and empathy are central goals. I hold a strong belief that the personal is political, particularly for sexual minorities, as articulated in feminist and critical social theories, and that empathy is crucial in our current political climate. This belief informs my practice and my commitment to supporting you in cultivating greater understanding and compassion in your life and relationships.
