I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a demonstrated history providing psychology services for adults presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic mental health issues. I am also a U.S. Navy Veteran with 11 years of service, primarily in the aviation community with multiple deployments to several combat and high-hazard areas in support of combat and intelligence operations. I am recently retired from the government after 25 years combined service. I have experience in psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and consultation. My primary focus areas in treatment are depression, anxiety, sleep issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, childhood and adult trauma, PTSD, combat-related trauma, grief, loss, death and the dying process, medical and health-related concerns, and life transitions. I use evidence-based psychotherapies in combination with an existential, often integrated conceptualization, driven by the individual and their needs. I hold competency in providing evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), trauma-informed care, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). I am also formally trained in existential-humanistic psychotherapy which is my primary approach.
