Licensed Clinical Social Worker Tia Hwang
Specialties: Eating Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Trauma, Anxiety, Depression

Introduction

For 20+ years I have worked to provide mental health therapy to individuals with various mental health concerns and life difficulties. In times of struggle, and without help, we can develop maladaptive coping mechanisms, which in the long run, make life even harder. My passion has been working with teens and adults who are in need of support, guidance, insight, and coping skills to live their best lives. Feeling better, improving relationships with others, and being able to manage your life should not feel unattainable. Therapy, and even taking the first step to therapy is difficult, but the investment in yourself is immeasurable. I specialize in Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Depression/Mood Disorders, and have extensive experience working with patients with OCD and Trauma. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and am specially trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), & Mindfulness. Making the first step can be very difficult. Feeling ready is important, but also facing the fear of change. With commitment, therapy works! My goal is to assist you in making positive changes in your life. I provide a safe, therapeutic, nonjudgmental environment for you and I together to tackle what is in the the way of you living your best life. I am able to submit claims for insurances as an out-of-network provider. Some plan will reimburse at 100%. Please reach out if you have questions about your out-of-network benefits.
