You can tell when things feel off and when you are not going in a direction that feels authentic. I believe that therapy is about strength. The strength to be vulnerable, to take ownership of your story, and to learning about yourself to act out your values with integrity. Life this past year has been difficult on our minds and relationships. Individual therapy can provide support for grief, depression, isolation, and anxiety after a year of global pandemic. Couples therapy can strengthen the bond in your relationship. Reaching out takes courage, a desire to change, and often pain. You don’t need to be alone in your change or pain. I offer individual and couples counseling. I counsel by listening first, and then through challenging clients in a safe environment. My goal is to identify which treatment will be the best match for you and I ensure that I am following evidence-based practices. I am trained in Gottman Level I to use with couples. I use ACT and CBT with individuals. It can be a real headache to reach out for help and to find a therapist that feels like a good fit. I know some of the difficulties of going to therapy because I encountered them myself. I want to make this process as easy as possible. I can offer a free, no-commitment consultation over the phone, or email to see if we might be a good fit.
