Timothy earned a B.A. in Communications with minors in Music and German from Grace College. He also earned an M.S. in Professional Counseling and a Ph.D. in General Psychology with an Emphasis in Cognition and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. He is currently licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Timothy is a military veteran who got started in the counseling business as a result of help he received while on active duty in the Marine Corps. He saw combat in Afghanistan in 2002 and Iraq in 2003 and 2005. His counselor helped him work through combat trauma and sparked the desire in him to help others in challenging life circumstances. Timothy has counseling experience in a wide variety of settings including working with adults, adolescents, children, trauma victims, married couples, and families. He uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help individuals struggling with anxiety and depression and he is a certified SYMBIS+ practitioner (an empirically grounded marriage/premarital therapy system). Timothy has a desire to come alongside clients to help them reach their greatest potential through honest introspection, practical goal setting, and encouragement as they move toward their goals.
