Introduction

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addiction Counselor. I have years of experiencing supporting military veterans, individuals with various mental health and substance use disorders. With a person-centered, trauma-informed, and cognitive-behavioral therapy approach, I am dedicated to helping my clients find healing, resilience, and renewed purpose. It is my belief that therapy can be a transformative and empowering experience. I am honored to accompany individuals on their journey towards healing and growth, providing them with the support, guidance, and tools they need to overcome challenges, improve their mental health, and lead fulfilling lives. If you are seeking support during life transitions, experiencing depression or anxiety, or are a veteran in need of specialized care, I am here to help you on your path to wellness and resilience. I have immense respect for the sacrifices veterans have made and the unique challenges they face. Drawing upon a person-centered perspective, I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and collaboration. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where veterans can explore their experiences, process trauma, and develop the skills necessary to thrive in their civilian lives. Life transitions can be daunting, and I am here to provide support and guidance during these periods of change. Whether it's a career shift, relationship change, or other significant life event, I believe in the inherent capacity for growth and self-discovery. Through a person-centered approach, I help individuals navigate these transitions, empowering them to tap into their inner strengths, set meaningful goals, and create a new path forward. Depression and anxiety are complex issues that can profoundly impact one's well-being. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to help individuals challenge negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and regain a sense of control over their lives. By collaboratively identifying unhelpful beliefs and implementing evidence-based interventions, we work towards reducing symptoms, enhancing self-awareness, and fostering resilience. Trauma-informed care is an essential aspect of my therapeutic approach. I recognize the prevalence and impact of trauma in many individuals' lives, and I am committed to creating a safe and empowering environment where clients can heal from past wounds. Through trauma-informed principles, I prioritize safety, choice, and empowerment, helping individuals process and integrate their traumatic experiences while building resilience and enhancing overall well-being.
