I've been through many careers before finding my way to social work and psychotherapy, and I bring my prior experience to my work. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is an essential part of what can support growth and change, and it is important to me to be a human with you. I see therapy as a collaboration to support you in connecting with yourself and your needs more deeply. We will work together to reflect on what is and isn’t working, develop understanding and self-compassion for where you’ve been, reimagine what is possible, and build motivation and strategies to lean into who you want to be. Our work will integrate elements of many therapeutic approaches including CBT, self-compassion, ACT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness, somatic practice, and parts work. I provide support for teens, adults, and elders navigating depression, anxiety, codependence, relationship issues, self-esteem, perfectionism, grief, life transitions, and identity exploration. I work with people of many backgrounds and experiences with a particular focus on transgender and queer youth and adults.
