Effective therapy usually has two key components: insight and tools. I help clients find their Insight. Everything from understanding yourself and your patterns better to what is contributing to your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We gain insight by looking at your past – not to stay there, but to set you free! When we understand why we do things, it’s easier to change those habits. Next we focus on tools. Think of this as skill building by changing your relationship to your thoughts and emotions – and taking new action in the world. Examples include communicating better with your partner, figuring out what to do with worry, or learning to relax and unwind in a healthy way. We can also look at unwinding trauma through using a tool called EMDR. Call or text me today, to find out more. I'd love to visit with you. (702) 265-5779.
