I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been working with women and families on issues surrounding pregnancy, birth, parenting, breastfeeding and grief since 1987. I graduated in 1988 from Boston University with a masters degree in social work. While in Boston, I was a social work intern at Brigham and Women's Hospital. I worked with pregnant and parenting adolescents, with NICU parents and women experiencing high risk pregnancies and pregnancy loss. I found what I loved and where I wanted to concentrate. I went on to work in the NICU and as a perinatal bereavement counselor at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, MO and later as a perinatal social worker at Brandywine Hospital in PA. I have experience as a birth doula and have facilitated groups for parenting and breastfeeding mothers as well as lead parenting workshops. I started my private practice in NJ in 2005. I specialize in the treatment of depression and anxiety in perinatal women and dads, including pregnancy loss and infertility. Together I work with my clients to develop strategies and coping skills that help them for a lifetime. I am licensed in NJ and PA and see clients from both states virtually.
