Introduction

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner with 20 years experience in the field, I've been committed to helping patients become empowered in their recovery through the use of holistic methods to regain mental health. My approach focuses on utilizing psychodynamic therapy to understand the deeper causes of symptoms, as well nutritional and alternative therapies. I believe that patients are individuals, and not their diagnosis. I’m passionate about assisting patients who have found that their medications have not helped treat their symptoms, and embrace a collaborative approach to understand the whole person and investigate the underlying causes of their challenges. Many have found that after further exploration of the etiology of their symptoms, that they no longer need or desire the use of the traditional medication approach. Specialty areas are depression, anxiety, family and interpersonal conflict, grief, loss of a relationship/divorce, OCD, anger management issues, self-esteem, women's issues, chronic pain/illness, and codependency issues. If you'd like to schedule an initial consultation with me, feel free to contact me for an appointment request. I look forward to hearing from you.
