My goal with each client is to help them recognize their strengths - to use what they learn about themselves in therapy and move on to the next phase in their life. The greatest joy I have is seeing the individuals blossom and tell me they are ready to face their challenges on their own! I am a secular individual, however I have great respect for the differences we each have and will not condemn or judge a person based on their affiliation. My specialty training is Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), however I draw from many theories and models to apply to the unique individual and situation. Because the core of my training is in trauma, I see the whole picture first - biological, emotional, physical, and environmental health. I am proud of the positive and genuine rapport I have with my clients of all ages and backgrounds - I believe it is crucial to meet them where they are, without judgement. When I am not doing therapy I am working on my art, cooking new things, riding horses, or gardening.
