Tracy Purnell is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Michigan. Tracy has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in Counseling from Wayne State University. She is a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor and a certified clinical trauma professional. She has worked in a variety of profit and non-profit organizations including higher education, community mental health, foster care, adoption, substance abuse, juvenile justice, and training and development for over 25 years. Tracy provides counseling services to individuals, families, couples, and groups. In addition, she provides counseling supervision to limited licensed professional counselors, workshops, and training to organizations. Tracy has presented nationally on issues related to Trauma, Crisis Interventions, and Anxiety and Depression with an emphasis on the African American community. She specializes in women’s behavioral health issues and was recently told by one of her clients that she helped move her from hopelessness to happiness.
