Greetings! I am so glad you are here. You did it! It takes tremendous bravery and courage to reach out for support and help and shows that you are already on your way towards health, well-being, growth, and recovery. It would be my honor and privilege to walk beside you as you embark upon this very special and unique journey. My name is Trish Houghtaling, and I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed-Therapist, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist, Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapist (KAP) and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). I provide trauma-informed counseling and therapeutic support for adults recovering from anxiety, depression, traumatic grief, loss, post-traumatic stress disorder, abuse, neglect, developmental trauma, childhood wounding, life transitions, chronic pain, illness, substance recovery and end-of-life transitioning. My offerings include, a blend of mind-body based psychotherapies, including Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP) preparation and integration, to help ease and reduce distressing, trauma-related symptoms while supporting skill building around healthy and sustainable coping skills and emotional supports for heightened ease and well-being in everyday life. I offer support to individuals of all faiths and orientations. I have been supporting individuals for over 20 years of all ages and across the lifespan from birth to death, having worked in early childhood development (birth to five) all the way to supporting folks within the hospice/palliative care setting navigating the end-of-life transition. Over the years, and within all these settings, I have appreciated the tenderness and importance around establishing a secure therapeutic relationship-one based upon mutual trust, consistent support and a secure base of reliable attachment. I believe that for many folks, there has been a wounding within a relationship that can begin to heal and repair when in deep connection with another who offers security, consistency, understanding and grounded emotional support. I would love to become that person for you! My perspective around intervention and treatment is one of collaboration. Together and through this process, you and I will determine the best course of treatment based upon your specific challenges, needs, hopes and dreams. Together, we will create a plan, unique and only for you, that will support your treatment goals and we will monitor this along the way to ensure that the work we do is on track and what you are both needing and wanting. Finally, in order to support you on your journey, I do offer a free 30-minute consultation in which we can “meet and greet” one another, discuss your needs and ensure a good fit so that your counseling experience is the most supportive as possible. Please, feel free to reach out with any additional questions and I look forward to our work together. With Warmth and Care, Trish I am currently accepting new clients onto my waitlist.
