Trishana Sheffield has a heart tuned to the unique rhythm of childhood. With a passion for developmentally appropriate mental health care, she uses the magic of play therapy to help children tell their stories, process emotions, and begin their healing journey in a way that feels natural and safe. Trishana’s path to becoming a champion for children started with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, focusing on child psychology, from the University of North Florida. She deepened her expertise with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville University, where she also earned a Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy—a vital tool in her mission to nurture emotional growth through play. Her experience spans from providing play therapy in Duval County Public Schools to working with early intervention programs. She has walked alongside children facing life’s toughest challenges—trauma, divorce, developmental hurdles, and emotional or behavioral struggles—helping them find light in the darkest moments.
