Introduction

Hello, My name is Trisha! Through my practice I help individuals work through the following concerns: anxiety, grief, gender dysphoria, relational issues, and trauma. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic. But what do all of these words even mean?! Ultimately, I help people take a look at their ways of relating, behaving, and feeling by identifying underlying patterns and lingering emotional wounds. Together, we will create a path to healing by improving the way we react and respond to our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. This can happen in many different ways, such as creating boundaries with ourselves and others, increasing our self-esteem through challenging negative beliefs, and choosing to put ourselves first. Through You First Counseling I strive to provide a comfortable space for my client’s to put themselves first and learn new skills to better work and respond to their stressors. I ensure that my client’s can reliably know that their time is fully theirs. A little more about me and where I started- I am a pre-licensed mental health counselor based in Berks and Montgomery county, PA. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kutztown University where I went on to obtain my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My professional counseling journey began at a private practice in Wyomissing where I interned and later contracted for the last year and half. Now, I am making my way to begin my journey of starting my own private practice through You First Counseling, LLC. Through You First Counseling, LLC I am currently only offering virtual appointments.
