Counseling works! I want everyone to know that you don't have to be at your worse to seek help. Everyone benefits from going to counseling! Those you look up to most and you see as being at their very best, see a therapist and have regular therapy check-in sessions. Most of the pain, burdens, and ways that we cope are natural ways to protect ourselves from being hurt. Although those ways in which we deal with pain don't always help us long term or in relationships, they have kept us safe and secure. Unfortunately, these things can result in anxiety, depression, addiction, compulsions for self-soothing, and hurt relationships.
