Troy Young is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has a BA in History from the University of Utah and a MSW from Brigham Young University. After losing her son, Roman, to suicide in 2012, she pursued her education and training to try to help other families who were suffering through mental health challenges in their families. She worked at Saprea (a foundation helping women survivors of childhood sexual abuse to heal from trauma), before opening her own general mental health practice in Mapleton in 2016. She is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and enjoys yoga, reading, and the outdoors. Her favorite hobby is spending time with her husband, Richard, their children and 22 grandchildren (11 girls, 11 boys). Troy feels called to this work. She finds hope and meaning as she hears others’ stories of courage and resilience.
