Dave Meurer once said, “A great marriage is not when the 'perfect couple' comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.” I also believe this is the same of individuals and families. Even in a relationship we show up as an individual. We are all imperfect humans with our own unique story and when we can begin to enjoy our imperfect selves and strive to become the best versions of ourselves- we can grow, find peace and heal. Utilizing a collaborative approach to psychotherapy, I work beside clients to identify and clarify their personal goals toward building the life they want and deserve. Looking at patterns, mindset and behaviors we can begin to find healing in the mental, emotional and physical self. I use techniques from a variety of evidence-based approaches including mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing to create an individual treatment plan tailored to each client’s needs.
